What Ozone Is

Ozone is a gas made of oxygen. Ozone is generated onsite using ambient air and a small amount of electricity.

The USDA accepted ozone as safe and suitable for use in the production of meat and poultry products in 2000, and the FDA approved ozone as an antimicrobial agent for food in 2001.

How Ozone Is Created

Ambient air is filtered, compressed and stripped of nitrogen, resulting in +90% oxygen concentration.

electrical arc splits the oxygen molecule

The oxygen gas is passed through a high voltage field and struck by an electrical arc splitting the oxygen molecule(O2) into individual oxygen atoms (O1).

The oxygen atom reconnects with neighboring oxygen molecules creating an ozone molecule.

What Ozone Does

Ozone is one nature's most powerful oxidizers (2nd only to elemental fluorine) and has been used as a powerful organic cleaner and sanitizer for years.

Ozone has an incredibly high oxidation reduction potential (ORP). Ozone oxidizes organic material at a rate 3,100 times that of chlorine.
